THE GAS COMPANY RECEIVE NATIONAL GAS AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE (January 2011)

The Gas Company have been awarded the Morgan Lambert National Bronze Award for gas servicing and excellence.

The award was presented to Dave Richardson, Director of the Gas Company at the recent National Housing Maintenance Forum at Stratford Upon Avon.

Morgan Lambert carry out over 25,000 Gas Service provider post inspection audits per annum covering over 80 Gas Contractors throughout the country.

Following the audit process instigated on behalf of North Lincolnshire Homes The Gas Company achieved 3rd place in the service provider category and also had two of its Engineers in the top 10 of the Operatives category. The Engineers concerned are Richard Day and Dale Dervey and they achieved this excellent performance in a strong category containing over 600 engineers nationally. The remaining engineers engaged on the contract also finished in the top 10% of the operative catagory

Dave Richardson commented This is a fantastic achievement for both the company and also all the engineers and staff working on the North Lincolnshire Homes project. As a company we are constantly striving for continual improvement and quality and this award certainly demonstrates the company is progressing in the right direction.

The Gas Company secures a 4 year Electrical contract with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. (October 2010)

In October 2010 the Gas Company successfully secured a 4 year contract with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council to carryout Electrical works to properties within the East Riding of Yorkshire area. The scope of work involves electrical inspection testing, rewires, maintenance repairs and breakdowns. As part of the contract the Gas Company will also supply a comprehensive 24 hour callout service.
Company Director Dave Richardson said
“The award of the contract is excellent news for the Gas Company. The Electrical division was formed as part of a strategy to offer a one stop shop for prestige clients who have both gas and electrical requirements. The Gas Company already provides a comprehensive gas servicing and breakdown service for the council and this further enhances our long standing relationship. The securing of this contract in a very competitive and demanding environment is great news and also testament to all the hard work by our staff over the last year. A dedicated Project Manager and further electricians have now been recruited to ensure the project is now delivered successfully and in line with Client expectations.

York Housing Association award 4 year Gas Contract (August 2010)

York Housing Association have awarded the Gas Company a 4 year contract to provide 3* Heating cover on all of their domestic properties. This includes annual gas servicing and a comprehensive 24 hour breakdown service. (The contract has been awarded as part of the Northern Housing Consortium Gas Servicing & Maintenance framework agreement)

We want to become a major regional player, offering a cost effective and quality service, which the Northern Housing Consortium's Gas Servicing and Maintenance Framework is allowing us to do".

Gas Company secures 3 year contract with East Riding of Yorkshire Council

The Gas Company has secured a 3 year contract with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council to carryout annual safety checks on in of 8,000 of their properties. As part of the contract the Gas Company also has to provide a 24 hour 365 day responsive repair service for all heating breakdowns and plumbing repairs.

Gas Company wins new 2 year Gas Servicing contract with North Lincolnshire Homes

Following a stringent procurement process the Gas Company in April this year has been re- awarded a new 2 year contract with North Lincolnshire Homes to carryout annual gas safety checks on all of its properties.

Gas Company Director Dave Richardson said

For the past 5 years we have had an excellent working relationship with NLH and through this partnership we have continually developed and improved our access processes. This has resulted in the client achieving his key target of 100% active Landlord Gas Safety Certificates”

KIER (HULL) appoint Gas Company as prime heating contractor for Decent Homes Project

KIER Building Maintenance (HULL) has appointed the Gas Company as their prime heating contractor to deliver the next stage of their Decent Homes Installation project. As part of the project the Gas Company will deliver approximately 300 heating systems in the Hull area.

**3* Heating contract for Places for People Group awarded to the Gas Company.**

Following on from a successful 8 year relationship, the Places for People Group have awarded the Gas Company a further 2 year extension to the existing 3* contract. The contract includes annual gas safety checks and a comprehensive 24 hr 365 day breakdown repair service for over 2,000 properties in the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire area. As part of the contract the Gas Company also support and maintain a number of commercial and communal properties.

“We have an excellent and long standing relationship with the Places for People Group and this contract extension is great news. We have worked really hard as an organisation to deliver a quality service and this has obviously been recognised by the client”

Gas Company achieves Northern Housing Consortium partnership status.

The Gas Company has achieved approved partner status with the Northern Housing Consortium (NHC).This allows member organisations to engage NHC approved Gas Contractors such as the Gas Company under an already agreed framework agreement.

100% active Landlord Gas Safety Certificates target achieved for two major clients.

For the second year running the Gas Company have achieved the key target of 100% active Landlord Gas Safety Certificates for both North Lincolnshire Homes and the Places for People Group.

Gas Company attains accreditation as a Warmsure agent

Following a successful audit and approval process the Gas Company has become an approved agent for Warmsure. The contract which commenced in April this year will see the Gas Company carrying out boiler services, heating breakdown and plumbing repairs on behalf of Warmsure in the East and West Riding of Yorkshire areas.
